Over the last few years, one of the questions I’ve been asked over and over is, “How can I get the Killian Kendall books?”
Unfortunately, the answer has usually been, “You can’t. At least not easily.”
The series has been out of print for quite some time. Every now and then, I’ll stumble across a used copy online, often listed for a surprising amount of money, and I’d feel a little sad knowing that these stories had become difficult for new readers to find.
Killian Kendall was my first major series and, in many ways, the foundation of my entire artistic career. Through five novels and multiple short stories, Killian investigated murders, encountered ghosts, fell in love, made terrible decisions, and solved a few mysteries. Along the way, he gathered an unforgettable cast of friends, family, allies, and enemies who remain some of my favorite characters I’ve ever written.
These books introduced me to readers from around the world. They helped me find my voice as an author. They gave me opportunities I never expected when I first sat down and started writing about a sarcastic private investigator in Maryland.
And I don’t want them to disappear.
